A Delectable Journey into the World of Gelato and Sorbetto Craftsmanship

Uno Gelato is thrilled to announce the much-anticipated return of its beloved Gelato 101 seminars for the upcoming autumn season. These delightful and informative classes, suitable for both gelato “cone-noisseurs” and newcomers, offer a seasonal twist to the art of gelato and sorbetto making. BC owned and operated, the gelaterias are in Kitsilano, Canada Place, and False Creek. Committed to a farm-to-cone philosophy, Uno Gelato sources from local farmers when possible and makes their gelato and sorbetto in small microbatches from all natural ingredients. Registration is at: unogelato.com/events.

Perfect for a fun girls’ night out or a romantic date night, participants will embark on a delicious journey to discover the intricate science behind crafting authentic gelato and sorbetto using the traditional Italian method. Gelato 101 classes will run from October 12, 2023 to March 31, 2024, with sessions from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm. Led by the formally trained Maestro Andrés Bermudez, these intimate sessions are limited to just six participants and take place at their Kitsilano gelateria, 2579 W. Broadway in Vancouver. Priced at $79.99 per person (excluding taxes and gratuity), this package includes a tasting of 10 gelato and sorbetto flavors, the choice of a cone or cup during the visit, and a pint of the gelato and sorbetto created during the class to take home. Private group classes are also available for booking, and registration is open at unogelato.com/events.

Uno Gelato Maestro Andrés Bermudez shared his enthusiasm for the return of Gelato 101, saying, “We’re thrilled to restart our popular Gelato 101 classes for the fall/winter season. Participants love the hands-on experiential aspect of the class, and I think they will truly relish the creatively delicious new gelato and sorbetto flavours we have planned.”
