CELEBRATING NATIONAL WINE DAY WITH REWILD

RAISE A GLASS TO WINE THAT GIVES BACK TO THE EARTH: CELEBRATING NATIONAL WINE DAY WITH REWILD WINE

Sustainably crafted and 100% vegan, Rewild Wine offers Canadians
National Wine Day on May 25th.

May 25th, 2026, marks National Wine Day, honouring the craft of one of the world’s oldest and most cherished beverages. With Canadians enjoying over a billion glasses of wine each year, the day is more than just a celebration, it’s an opportunity to reflect on the meaning and impact that’s behind every bottle. This year, Rewild offers an opportunity to toast with purpose. Sustainably crafted and one-hundred percent vegan, Rewild wines delight the palate while supporting regenerative practices from vineyard to bottle, inviting Canadians to celebrate consciously while raising a glass that is changing the landscape of wine for the better.

For centuries, wine has been a symbol of celebration, connection and shared experiences. Whether pairing it with the perfectly grilled barbecue or enjoying a glass during a leisure evening with friends, wine continues to draw human connection. Year over year, conscious consumers increasingly seek choices that reflect their values, from the food they eat and the products they use, to the drinks they pour. Rewild embodies this movement, offering wines crafted with not only exceptional taste but with a commitment to regenerate the land, protect biodiversity and give back more to the Earth than we take. Every bottle tells a story of sustainable practices, from vineyard to glass, offering consumers a wine they can feel great about enjoying.

“Rewild Wines isn’t just about savouring incredible flavours, it’s about a commitment to the earth and future generations,” says Tony Allen, Wine & Grape Commercial Manager at Duxton Vineyards. “By choosing Rewild, you’re choosing a wine crafted with care for the planet, from regenerative agriculture to sustainable packaging. It’s more than a drink; it’s a movement.”

Born in Australia’s Southern Murray Darling region, Rewild is a wine brand deeply rooted in nature and regeneration. At Duxton Vineyards, every decision, from soil to vine, reflects the belief that exceptional wine and a healthy planet can thrive together. Regenerative farming, careful composting, and the protection of native biodiversity strengthen the land with each harvest, creating wines that capture the richness of the Earth and the care behind them.

In the winery, Rewild has prevented over 750 tonnes of CO2 emissions. Their forward-thinking approach includes green energy storage technology, including a hybrid hydrogen battery to help achieve 100% renewable energy, Water conservation is another key priority, with Rewild recycling up to 150 million litres of water annually. Vineyard by-products are repurposed and returned to the soil to nourish future grape harvests and reduce waste.

Beyond the vineyard, sustainability is prioritized in every aspect of production. The brand has planted over 20 different species of trees and shrubs across 70 hectares of land while maintaining more than 2000 hectares of native vegetation. Sustainable packaging is another demonstration of Rewild’s commitment to sustainability. Rewild uses lightweight glass bottles, recycled Stelvin caps, and 100% post-consumer wastepaper labels, as well as SFI-certified cartons. In Canada, Rewild partners with Andrew Peller Limited to bottle locally, going the extra mile to reduce emissions while bringing eco-conscious, high-quality wines to Canadian wine lovers from coast to coast. Their continued focus on eco-friendly packaging and mitigation of transportation-related emissions aligns every aspect of production with their sustainability goals.

“The way we produce wine should reflect the values of today’s conscious consumer,” Allen adds. “When you sip on Rewild, you’re not just enjoying a great product, you’re making a direct contribution to rewilding efforts and ecological regeneration.”

Rewild offers two signature varietals that showcase both taste and sustainability. Rewild Pinot Grigio offers a light-bodied, dry and fresh profile that delights with notes of crisp pear, citrus and apple. The wine pairs perfectly with light, fresh meals, sunny afternoons, and is best enjoyed amongst friends and thoughtful conversation. Rewild Cabernet Sauvignon offers a contrasting bold, rich profile, concentrated fruit and fine tannins, ideal for casual barbecue dinners or cozy evenings by the firepit. Both wines are vegan-friendly and crafted with care, embodying the belief that wine should never compromise the planet.

As Canadians raise a glass on National Wine Day, Rewild offers a reminder to choose wine that not only offers exceptional taste, but continues to better the planet.
