NEW Naramata Dining for Spring
From casual offerings at the Naramata Pub, to winery restaurants blooming for the upcoming season (such as Terroir Kitchen at Serendipity Winery, reopening in May), there’s so much to taste. Here are a few highlights for the 2025 season.
Lapin Perdu Bistro
Local restaurateurs Christopher Royal (Pizzeria Tratto Napoletana and Chulo Tapas & Bar) and Michael Ziff (Vancouver’s St. Lawrence and Hawksworth, and Okanagan winery restaurants Poplar Grove and Home Block at CedarCreek Estate Winery) welcome locals back to the historic Naramata Inn with a new and exciting chapter: Lapin Perdu Bistro Français. French for “lost rabbit,” the whimsical name is a playful invitation to discover and wander. Sip through an Okanagan-forward wine list and graze across a menu of French dishes inflected with Quebecois flair—favourites such as Tartare de Boeuf, Steak Frites and Confit de Canard. Pop in for a glass of wine and stay a while: this is a bistro built to welcome locals home and invite guests to linger.
Expect soirées like “Rosé, Croquet & a DJ” on the Inn’s lawn (happening this summer), and watch for other exciting events and guest chef and sommelier announcements soon. Lapin Perdu Bistro opens on May 16, and Naramata Inn bookings for the season open on June 19. naramatainn.com.
9 Mile Food + Drink
Bold, locally inspired eats by Ashley Selwood (Just Baked) will draw foodies from miles around to 9 Mile Food + Drink, opening May 5 in the heart of the Naramata Village (in the former location of the Neverland Tea Cottage). Created in collaboration with local chef Pierre Geronimo, this laid-back yet elevated eatery extends local and seasonal cuisine throughout the day.
Start with a red-eye breakfast or all-day pancakes, then sample the juiciest burger or roast chicken or gooey tartiflette or flavourful beef chimichurri paninis. A family-friendly menu also includes sweet treats like cheesecake and fresh-baked cookies. Creative zero-proof drinks along with a curated selection of local wine, beer and cider will be offered. 9 Mile will be open Monday through Friday from 11 am to 6 pm, with special pop-up dinners planned for Friday nights. The Hot Dog Lounge at JoieFarm Winery
There’s one more delicious reason to visit JoieFarm Winery with the grand opening of The Hot Dog Lounge, a frankly fantastic, retro-inspired eatery opening May 17. A culinary experience that connects the dots between fine wine and fun food, The Hot Dog Lounge features four dog-licious options, all available with either beef or vegetarian wieners.
A fresh 100 per cent pinot noir bottling, crafted especially for The Hot Dog Lounge, is a light, fruity, summer-ready red wine. Award-winning Noble Blend, rosé slushies and local beer on tap also pair perfectly with any dog on the menu. The JoieFarm tasting room and The Hot Dog Lounge will be open from 11 am to 5 pm starting May long weekend. No reservations required for the outdoor kitchen and dining lawn, which has picnic table and lawn-chair seating. Follow @joiefarm on Instagram for the latest.
