Calling all veggie lovers! Veg Fest Vancouver will be taking place for its fourth consecutive year in downtown Vancouver on Granville Street on Saturday July 26th from 11-6pm. Come see the multitude of vendors, try the amazing vegetarian and vegan eats, and be educated on the topic of human health, environmental sustainability, and animal welfare.
This is my kind of party. Walk from Georgia to Smithe, and experience the music, games, prizes, and the enthusiastic crowd gathering around the Loving Hut food truck. There are also an impressive collection of local businesses, and plenty more to see and do. This festival is free to attend, and there’s always something for everyone.
As a volunteer for Earthsave Canada, I will be standing under the Earthsave tent all morning ready to answer your questions about our beloved local registered charity, and what it is we do. Other fave vendors of mine include Granola Girl, Earth Balance, Everyday Superfoods, and Rooted Nutrition. Last year I spoke to countless people and watched hundreds walk happily by, hands full of swag. Think balloons, families, food samples, and a TON of local fare.
Love the idea of attending, and wish there was more? You can also check out Dr. Michael Greger from nutritionfacts.org the night before at Robson Square. Again, this is a free event that runs from 7-9 on Friday July 25th. Listen to a comedic lecture on health, get your book signed, and meet others who are seeking better health and wellness. This event is being put on by Earthsave.
I hope to see you all there with your party pants on! (And because it’s Vancouver we’re talking about here, this wish is literal. PLEASE be wearing pants.)
‘Til next weekend!
