Following a successful launch in the heart of Vancouver’s historic Gastown district last month, Coquille Fine Seafood is casting a wider net by serving up Lunch and Happy Hour specials seven days a week in its expansive dining room and bar.

From 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, the restaurant will showcase such approachable lunch fare as Hearty Fisherman’s Soup (fish, shellfish, hominy, Mexican spices), $17; Chirashi Bowl (golden quinoa, leek, wasabi), $23; a Cheeseburger or Fish Sandwich, $16; and a Crab & Shrimp Roll, $24. The Coquille lunch menu also features a wide array of hot and cold small plates, crudos and salads ideal both for those taking a quick break from the office, or sightseers and shoppers who choose to linger longer.

Coquille will also offer Happy Hour service from 3 to 6 p.m. throughout the entire restaurant with drink specials such as $3.50 sleeves and $5 pints of craft beer including local notables like 33 Acres, Strangefellows and Four Winds; $6 glasses of Coquille Semillon (Lock & Worth Winery) or Coquille Syrah (Nichol Vineyard); and $8 on-tap SL Negronis (gin, Cinzano Rosso, Campari, Aperol, Fernet Branca) and Tommy’s Margaritas (blanco tequila, fresh lime, agave nectar).

In addition to the drink specials, Coquille will serve a bounty of food features during Happy Hour, including Octopus Toast, $6; Fritto Misto with aioli, $12; Cod Croquette with malt vinegar aioli, $9; Crab & Shrimp Roll, $10; and an array of freshly shucked, half-price Oysters as well as daily rotating features to pique the palate.

Coquille, which opened its doors in February, is the latest high-profile project for pedigreed local chefs Lee Cooper and Jack Chen and partner Nin Rai, who first joined forces to launch Gastown destination L’Abattoir in 2010. With an inventive menu spotlighting the best of local land and sea, a wide-ranging beverage program and nautically inspired décor, Coquille serves up a memorable dining experience for lunch, happy hour, dinner and late-night drinks.
