Event Pairs Boulevard’s West Coast-Inspired Cuisine with Portfolio of Current and Library Wines Presented by Blue Mountain Father-Daughter Duo Ian and Christie Mavety

 

Boulevard Kitchen & Oyster Bar Wine Director JP Potters will welcome a flagship family winery from the South Okanagan region when the restaurant co-hosts a ‘Generations Wine Dinner’ with Blue Mountain Vineyard and Cellars on Friday, June 8at 6:30 p.m.

The one-night-only event — which is limited to 30 guests — will feature a reception and a four-course menu of Boulevard’s signature, West Coast-inspired fare prepared by Executive Chef Roger Ma paired with the unique insights and expertise of Blue Mountain father-daughter ownership duo Ian and Christie Mavety. During each course, Ian will present and provide tasting notes for a rare library wine from the Blue Mountain cellars, while Christie will detail a corresponding current vintage.

The seeds of what would become the Blue Mountain vineyard were first planted when Ian Mavety and his wife Jane acquired a picturesque parcel of land situated on a bench overlooking Vaseux Lake in the South Okanagan in 1971. More than four decades of family ownership later, the label is hailed for its complex, age-worthy and terroir-driven wines produced from 100-per-cent estate-grown grapes.

“This is a unique opportunity for our guests to enjoy a meticulously planned menu, paired with some standout wines produced by a family that can be considered a true pioneer of the inception and continued growth of BC’s burgeoning wine industry,” says Potters.
