“Consistently Exceptional Always Memorable” – Burrowing Owl Estate Winery

I couldn’t have said it better myself but it bears repeating; the Burrowing Owl Estate Winery is exceptional and our visit was memorable. Those are the words on the front of the brochure we picked up at the welcoming desk when we arrived for our overnight stay at the Guest House.

Let me assure you the rooms are truly exceptional, spacious, comfortable and the views are memorable. All the rooms have spectacular views of the vineyards and across to the mountains gracing the Oliver/Osoyoos region. Our room had the most heavenly king size bed with quality linens and super comfy down pillows, a desk for working (?), two cozy armchairs and ottoman, a wine bar with bar fridge, coffee maker, wine glasses of course, a fireplace, and the most magnificent bathroom with a luxurious bathtub and separate shower. The decor is a bit Mediterrean but still has a feeling of light and airiness with windows out to that beautiful view. I especially enjoyed sitting on the deck overlooking the pool and patio.

The Guest House openings (2018) February 14; February 15 – 25 Thursday – Sunday; March 1 – 21 Thursday – Sunday; March 22 – April 25 Thursday – Monday; April 26 – October 14 every day; October 15 – December 15 Thursday – Sunday. March 22 – June 20 and October 15 – 31 two night minimum on weekends; June 21 – October 14 two night minimum stay. Guest rooms range from $129 – $349 depending on dates. The Penthouse rates range from $469 – $939 depending on dates.

“The Guest House at Burrowing Owl is a wine lover’s sanctuary. Steps away from the Sonora Room Restaurant and our Wine Shop. Nestled into our 146-acre vineyard, the Guest House accommodates up to 26 guests, and is a perfect choice for a romantic getaway, family reunion or corporate retreat. This is your place to reconnect, retreat, and rejuvenate.”

Getting to Burrowing Owl was a blast in the Ford Canada Escape. Look for more on our adventures on the 4th 2018 Okanagan trip.

My visit and the use of the Ford Escape were complimentary in order to facilitate my feature. The opinions expressed are my own.
