Begin the evening with Northern Divine Caviar, Wagyu Beef Carpaccio and Sorbet, followed by a choice of main course from options such as Yarrow Meadow’s Duck Breast with Empress Honey Shellac or the Pan Seared Petrale Sole accompanied with BC Honey Mussels topped with Sea Cider Beurre Blanc. The culinary team at Fairmont Hotel Vancouver’s Notch8 Restaurant and Bar have created the perfect way to romance the night away with that special someone. On February 14th, guests can enjoy an aphrodisiacal-inspired prix fixe menu priced at $79 per person. Start off the evening with a Chef’s Oyster Bar featuring the Notch8 Oyster and accoutrements such as homemade mignonette and hot sauce. Diners can choose between starters such as Lobster and Smoked Roe Celeriac Veloute or Burrata Cheese Tortellini with Marinated Squash and Pine Nuts, followed by selections of the main course like the Roasted Angus Striploin topped with Maitake Mushrooms and Marrow Jus or Truffle Risotto accompanied by Wild Foraged Mushrooms and topped with Pecorino Cheese. End the evening with a Chocolate Three Ways, a decadent shared dessert with Chocolate Fondant Cake, Malted Chocolate Ice Cream and White Chocolate Powder and is garnished with frozen rose petals and Candied Pistachio. Fairmont Pacific Rim

Made with love, the ‘Be Mine’ Sugar Buns are back at giovane cafe + eatery at Fairmont Pacific Rim. A twist on the beloved sugar bun, these passion fruit infused sugar buns are bursting with flavour and coated with a hard dark chocolate mask and cut-out heart. The limited edition sugar buns are available from February 10 – 16 for $7.00 CAD each and pre-orders can be reserved online at giovanecafe.com. 

Romance your Valentine at Botanist with an intimate tasting menu by Executive Chef Hector Laguna. The six-course tasting menu begins with welcome bubbles on arrival followed by decadent dishes such as Northern Divine Caviar, Butter-Poached Lobster, Beetroot Rosette and finishes with a black truffle dessert made with chocolate and choux pastry. The exclusive menu will only be available on Friday, February 14 from 5:30pm – 10:00pm for $168.00 CAD per person and wine pairings for $60.00 CAD per person. Fairmont Vancouver Airport

Join Executive Chef Nandakishore Rangan in Globe@YVR restaurant located in the Fairmont Vancouver Airport for an intimate three-course dinner and end the night with a special take home gift per table. The evening begins with a choice of Globe Signature Honey Beer Bread, Chef’s Amuse-Bouche, Crab Bisque or Warm Salad of Duck Confit. The main course on offer is the Cab Tenderloin, Miso Sablefish or Handmade Tagliatelle Pasta. Sweeten up the evening with a shared dessert which includes a Caramel Chocolate Tart, Blackberry Pâté de Fruit and Chocolate Dipped Strawberries coated in praline. ARC Restaurant at Fairmont Waterfront gives both the lovey-dovey couples and the ready-to-mingle singles options this Valentine’s Day. Those in the anti-Valentine’s Day mood can take solace in the “Single in the City” menu, offered in the ARC lounge and featuring such dishes as Cupid Rhymes with Stupid Wings and the Heart Break Cake. Whether consciously uncoupled or still insisting “we were on a break,” no red hearts or flowers are permitted. Chef Anthony Marzo’s interactive tasting menu is a celebration of everything you love to hate about L-O-V-E. 

For those couples looking to swoon-and-dine, ARC Restaurant has created a multi-course set menu made to “win one’s heart through their stomach.” This seafood-forward dinner features decadent dishes of sea urchin, beef tenderloin and lobster…and let’s not forget the desserts. Pair up and indulge for $198 per couple or try your favourites à la carte.
