Introducing the newest vintages of Noble Ridge fan-favourites:
2017 Reserve Pinot Noir
This terroir-driven vintage is crafted with care from 100% estate-grown fruit, using the unique expressions of 4 different types of Pinot Noir (clones 113, 114, 115, and 777).
A deeply complex and bold Pinot Noir with intense blueberry, cola, cherry, and subtle floral notes. These notes follow through on the palate with well- integrated tannins and a long lingering finish.
The grape bunches selected for this vintage flourish on Northern facing slopes in blocks 11, 12 and 13, shaded beneath a waterfall of foliage on Geneva Double Curtain trellises.
After harvest on October 11th, the grapes were de-stemmed, crushed and cold soaked for 5 days, before being fermented and barrel aged 14 months in 20% new French oak.
Classic pairings with this signature wine include Duck, Grilled Salmon and Mushrooms. But, for a modern spin on a worldly French-style Pinot, be sure to try this alongside BBQ and game meats.
2017 Reserve Meritage
This classic Bordeaux style blend is very terroir-driven and crafted with care from 100% estate-grown fruit, this blend is 73% Merlot, 23% Cabernet Sauvignon, 2% Cabernet Franc and 2% Malbec.
A deeply complex Meritage blend with intense black fruits with a bit of cranberry and cassis and subtle earth notes. These notes follow through on the palate with well- integrated tannins and a long lingering finish.
The grape bunches selected for this vintage flourish on South facing slopes in blocks 2, 3 and 4, planted in 1986 on Geneva Double Curtain trellises, to fully take advantage of the intense Okanagan sun.
After harvest on October 16th, the grapes were de-stemmed, crushed and cold soaked, before being fermented separately and barrel aged 14 months in a combination of French and American Oak, the final blend was carefully selected from the best of these barrels and then bottle aged before release.
Classic pairings with this signature wine include grilled meats and strong cheeses. But, for a modern spin on a Bordeaux style wine, be sure to try this alongside your favourite dark chocolate dessert.
