There’s so much to look forward to this season! Not the least of these is the fact, our province will be opening up! Our member wineries are hosting a plethora of unique tasting experiences on June 19 & 20.

This weekend, join the wineries of Okanagan Falls l Skaha Lake for a “Taste of Summer”, presented by the Heart of Wine Country(™) for special experiences and the new 2021 spring wine releases. Running Saturday and Sunday, June 19 and 20th, each participating winery will treat guests to unique tasting experiences.
“Some wineries will feature food pairings and some will offer special tastings of dessert wines”, says Shawna Thompson, coordinator for the Okanagan Falls l Skaha Lake Winery Association. “There are also some special Father’s Day events, such as brunch at Nighthawk’s new restaurant and BBQ at See Ya Later Ranch.”

With travel restrictions starting to ease, according to British Columbia’s reopening plan, the wineries are looking forward to welcoming visitors for the summer season.
“This past year has been challenging for everyone. We’re excited to welcome visitors back to our region and share our new wine releases,” says Janice Stevens, president of the winery association and proprietor of Meyer Family Vineyards.
COVID protocols are in place at each winery. Most wineries require or recommend reservations, which can be booked online at the individual winery websites. Spaces are limited and are booking quickly.
Many wineries are offering their tasting experiences outside. “We recommend that visitors dress for the weather and be prepared to be outside,” says Thompson.
The 15 member wineries of the Okanagan Falls l Skaha Falls Winery Association make up the Heart of Wine Country(™). From the Northern tip of Sakha Lake to the shores of Vaseaux Lake, discover quality wines made by people with big hearts.
