VINEYARD REGION
Fruit for this wine was sourced from selected vineyards across the expanse of the Marlborough winegrowing region, including our company Woolshed Vineyard in the upper Wairau Valley, along with long established growers in the Awatere and Wairau Valleys.

SOILS AND PROFILE
Our Marlborough vineyards are situated on moderately fertile glacial soils. This includes a mix of sandy loam over very deep gravels, fertile loams and clays.

VINTAGE CONDITIONS
It was a challenging growing season, with wet and cold weather during flowering. However, as summer rolled on, conditions improved and the summer months were hot and dry – perfect for ripening fruit. Harvest came around early, and when the fruit was picked it was in optimal condition — healthy, with great flavour and integrity.

CELLARING
Drinking deliciously now, and will continue to reward for at least 2 years.

FOOD MATCH
Fresh fish ceviche with toasted ciabatta.

WINEMAKER
Cleighten Cornelius and Krystal Palmer.

Mionetto Prosecco Rosé DOC Millesimato

Prosecco Rosé DOC

Prosecco Rosé DOC is an evocative sparkling wine with a delicate pink peach blossom colour that announces a fruity bouquet with clear notes of grapefruit and little red fruits. Moreover, its long maturation generates embracing honey and bread crust aromas.

For its most iconic collection, Mionetto reinterpreted the shapes of the bottle that has historically refreshed Prosecco. The soft lines get thinner with a slight touch of height, which gives them a modern character. The body is wrapped in an elegant look, characterized by microtextured materials and shiny foils.

TYPE:
Extra Dry sparkling wine.

PRODUCTION AREA:
Prosecco DOC area.

GRAPES VARIETY:
A blend of Glera and Pinot Noir.

VINIFICATION:
An Extra Dry sparkling wine which is obtained by Glera and Pinot Noir grapes vinificated in red with several days in contact with the skins. This gives its evocative pink peach blossom color. The wine then receives its secondary fermentation following the Charmat method, aging on yeasts in autoclaves for 60 days to enhance its secondary aromas.

ENJOY WITHIN:
One year after bottling.

SERVING TEMPERATURE:
6° – 8°C

ORGANOLEPTIC DESCRIPTION:

GLASS:
Flûte

This Rose is the result of soft pressing of red Pinot Noir grapes. Peach blossom colour with shiny reflections accompanied by a fine, lively perlage. Intense fragrant, fruity nose with hints of violet, raspberry, morello cherry and wild strawberry.

Ultimate Beverage Challenge scored this 92 points “Excellent” “Great Value”. They said “Enticing and exotic aromas of papaya, Key Lime, pomegranate juice, and acai. Segura Viudas Brut Rosé

Fresh & Sophisticated

40% Trepat
40% Pinot Noir
20% Garnatxa

CELLAR A minimum of 12 months

TASTING NOTES
Brut Rosé from Segura Viudas is a perfect example of what a Cava Rosado should be like, with its intense fruitiness, on both nose and palate, its lively colour, and its finesse. In the search for perfect balance between fruit and ageing, the blend for this rosado is made up of three black grape varieties: Trepat, Pinot Noir and Garnacha, each contributing their particular characteristics.

IN THE CELLAR
Traditional skin maceration to create the colour and to extract the aromas of the grapes. The blend of the Brut Rosé is made from 7 separate wines from the two grapes. The first and second fermentations are carried out using our own selected yeasts. These yeasts give the finished wine its own identity.

AT THE VINEYARD
Made from Trepat, Garnacha and Pinot Noir. The Trepat produces the freshness of fruit, the aroma and the finesse. The Garnacha enhances its taste. The Pinot Noir contributes the spicy touch and aromatic intensity. The Trepat is macerated for 24 hours at 12-14 ºC, the Garnacha is macerated for 12 hours at 16-18 ºC and the Pinot is macerated in the trailer during its journey to the winery.

WINEMAKER’S NOTES
“Bright, light strawberry pink, with hints of salmon, or onion skin, with a pale rim. A fine, abundant and consistent mousse, rising to a good crown. Youthful fruit aromas of strawberry, redcurrant and grenadine. Refreshing on the palate, full of cherry fruit and a light acidity. A soft finish to the back of the palate gives a lovely approachable balance to this very drinkable cava”.
