Nanoose Bay Cafe: Vancouver Island’s Next Culinary Destination Arrives in Time for Summer

New concept to offer west coast-inspired menu, exceptional service, and unbeatable ocean views

Visitors and locals alike are sure to become fast fans of the new Nanoose Bay Cafe when it opens in Fairwinds Landing later this spring. Created by veteran hospitality partners Eli Brennan, Alan Tse, and Chef Todd Bright, the new restaurant and bar will offer an elevated Vancouver Island dining experience, highlighting local seafood in West Coast-inspired dishes, served alongside spectacular views over the marina toward the Winchelsea Islands.

“We’re incredibly excited to be opening this restaurant in Fairwinds Landing,” said Brennan, who also owns the Qualicum Beach Cafe and the Water St. Cafe in Vancouver with his partners. “We’ve been operating on Vancouver Island for more than two years, and it’s been our intention from the start to support and give back to the local community and to continue to invest here while building true guest connections. We look forward to hosting you!”

Last month, Fairwinds developer Seacliff Properties announced the new partnership, having found in Brennan, Tse and Bright, restaurant operators with the experience and values to bring their shared vision to life: a welcoming spot for locals, and an exceptional dining experience that reflects the restaurant’s unique Nanoose Bay location. “We know the importance of this location and building to the community,” said Brennan, of the space constructed within the retained exterior of the historic Schooner Cove Hotel building. “It’s our goal that the Nanoose Bay Cafe will be much more than a restaurant and bar. We hope it will be a hub, a gathering place for the community, and an exciting culinary destination for visitors.”

The Nanoose Bay Cafe will include both a full restaurant and a coffee shop + market. Family-run and locally sourced, the restaurant includes dining room, bar, an expansive patio, and private dining, and will serve lunch, dinner, and Happy Hour. In the coffee shop + market, shoppers will find everyday essentials as well as snacks and goods to go: coffee and treats, fresh and frozen foods, local artisanal goods, and travel supplies.

Opening dates and further details about the Nanoose Bay Cafe are still to come. Stay tuned at nanoosebaycafe.com; and follow @nanoosebaycafe on Instagram and Facebook.
