We are absolutely thrilled to announce the release of our 2021 Red Gold. We only produce this ultra-premium wine when a specific vintage is of exceptional quality, worthy of the Red Gold name.
We are delighted to share that we have a small release of this very special wine from our 2021 harvest. Our 2021 Red Gold is available now in our tasting room and to order online.
A true expression of Lillooet terroir, this full-bodied wine was handcrafted exclusively with 100% estate grown grapes from select blocks in our vineyard. This cellar-worthy blend is comprised of 51% Cabernet Franc, 33% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 16% Merlot. We are also pleased to share that this is the first time that we have crafted our Red Gold with Cabernet Sauvignon grapes from our estate vineyard.
The components were aged separately for 15 months in 100% new French oak barrels from hand-selected family coopers. After tasting through all of the barrels in our wine cellar, our winemaker Alex thoughtfully selected the top 6 barrels to feature in this extremely small lot wine.
With each release, the composition of the Red Gold evolves based on the best grapes and barrels available, resulting in a unique blend for every vintage.
