Savour the Wild Unveils Savoured Here: A Cinematic Exploration
Backed by TELUS STORYHIVE, the six-part docuseries is supported by partners including Volkswagen, Weber, Blundstone, BC Dairy, and Search & Rescue Denim with screenings and activations planned across B.C.
Savour the Wild, the immersive culinary experience founded by Chef Colton Armstrong-Ashley and Creative Director Saman Rezapour, today announces the launch of Savoured Here, a six-part documentary series and the first chapter of an evolving storytelling platform that expands their vision from live-fire dining into cinematic form. Backed by TELUS STORYHIVE, the series brings their distinct approach to food, place, and storytelling to a national audience.
A natural evolution of the Savour the Wild ethos, Savoured Here captures the spirit of the Pacific Northwest through an intimate exploration of Southern Vancouver Island’s culinary landscape. In their pilot season, each 25-minute episode profiles the chefs, Indigenous knowledge keepers, farmers, foragers, and producers shaping the region and offers a deeper look at how place informs food, culture, and community.
“Savour the Wild has always been about connection—to the land, to the people, and to the stories behind what we eat,” said Colton Armstrong-Ashley, Chef and Co-Founder. “Savoured Here is a natural extension of that. It’s about showcasing the depth of what we have here in B.C.—our producers, our waters, our forests—and documenting everything that leads up to what ends up on the plate. There’s a level of care and connection here that’s hard to replicate, and we wanted to capture that in a way that can continue to grow and evolve.”
Built as an ongoing series, Savoured Here is designed to expand across regions, seasons, and stories. It captures distinct culinary identities through a consistent, place-driven lens and creates a foundation for future installments beyond Vancouver Island.
“From the beginning, the goal was to create something that feels immersive and true to place, not just visually beautiful but grounded in the environment it’s coming from,” said Saman Rezapour, Creative Director and Co-Founder. “We focused on capturing the natural light, the textures, and the movement of the landscape. It’s about letting the visuals carry the same weight as the story and creating something cinematic but still honest.”
The series will premiere September 22, 2026 across TELUS Optik TV and TELUS Stream+, before releasing on STORYHIVE’s YouTube channel on November 24, 2026. Positioned to reach a broad national audience, the series further elevates Vancouver Island as a leading culinary and tourism destination. Supported by aligned partners including Volkswagen, Weber, Blundstone, BC Dairy, and Search & Rescue Denim, the project extends beyond the screen through integrated brand collaborations, curated screenings, and live activations.
“What drew us to Savoured Here is its commitment to craft, community, and the people behind the work,” said Will Fosdick, Founder and Creative Director of Search & Rescue Denim Co. “As a brand that designs for chefs, bartenders, and hospitality teams, we see firsthand the care and intention that goes into every detail. This series captures that spirit in a way that feels honest and deeply connected to place, and we’re proud to support it.”
The launch will be supported by the release of an official trailer, alongside a series of curated screenings and experiential activations across Victoria and Vancouver. These events will bring the series to life through live-fire dining, chef collaborations, and community-driven storytelling.
By spotlighting local producers, Indigenous perspectives, and sustainable practices, Savoured Here not only celebrates Vancouver Island’s food culture but also establishes a scalable storytelling platform, with future seasons and regions to follow.
