Of the three Champagnes I preferred the AOC Constance White. It was fruity, not too light and had a nice fragrance. All three were very good the Constance just stood out for me.

Commended Decanter 2015
90 Points Gilbert & Gaillard
Silver Medal Concours Mondial des Vins du Canada 2013

The Gewürztraminer was among my favourites that I tasted. It was flavourful, very aromatic and I did not find it acidic as is sometimes the case.

Filari Di Luna Piedmont

Barolo D.O.C.G. Riserva – Barolo Riserva Luna Nera – 2006 – Red 93/100 Grading Awarded by Andreas Larson Best Sommelier of the world 2007 and Markus Del Monego Best Sommelier of the World 1998 in the Blind Tasting on December 2014 in Bordeaux

Barbaresco D.O.G.C. – Barbaresco Luna D’Argento – 2010 – Red 90/100 Grading Awarded by Andreas Larson Best Sommelier of the World 2007 and Markus Del Monego Best Sommelier of the World 1998 in the Blind Tasting on December 2014 in Bordeaux

I am definitely a lover of Italian reds and these were two excellent wines. For me the Barolo DOCG Riserva Luna Nera 2006 was outstanding. The aromas, the body and the juicy big flavour definitely won me over. I would recommend both of these wines.

AOC Côtes de Duras – C de Ferrant – 2012 – Red
1 Star Guide Hachette des Vins 2016
Silver Medal Concours des Vins de Mâcon 2014
Silver Medal Concours des Vignerons Indépendants 2015

This was a very good wine, full bodied and flavourful. It is hard to pick just one wine that was the best because all the wines were to my liking.

Maison Albert Languedoc-Roussillon Les Bugadelles

IGP Pays d’Oc – Les Bugadelles Réserve – 2014 – Red Organic Wine

I must admit if I had to choose just one varietal it would be granache so this red was a standout, so full of flavour without harsh tannins, smooth and rich.

Domaine de l’Amauve

AOC Côtes du Rhône Villages Séguret – Domaine de l’Amauve La Daurèle – 2014 – White

Gold Medal Concours Général Agricole de Paris

Wine lovers would be the first to agree that it is more than the wine, it is the whole experience. Séguret is one of the “most beautiful villages” and is near to my other “go to” city in the region – Vaison la Romaine. I think when you taste a wine from a region you love it is like a trip back in time, a very enjoyable trip.

Nebiollo d’Alba 2013

Barbera d’Alba 2012

Roero 2013

All very good wine, a little young but with great promise. The Barbera D’Alba 2012 I felt was excellent, the Nebbiolo 2013 very good and the Nebbiolo D’Alba 2013 just a bit light to drink now but with potential.
