2019 Oldfield Reserve Sauvignon Blanc
2019 Vintage:
The summer and spring of 2019 were of average temperatures and rainfall. Having said that, this allowed the Sauvignon Blanc to slowly ripen resulting in balanced sugars and acid. This wine boast both tropical and citrus flavours. This is the first vintage for us making a single variety Sauv Blanc. We are very pleased with the final result.
Vinification:
Hand picked early September, whole clusters, no crushing or destemming, gently pressed. The juice was fermented in a combination of large format (400L) French Oak Barrels, 284L Stainless Steel barrels and one small stainless-steel tank. The barrels were fermented naturally with indigenous yeasts while the tank portion received cultured yeast. Once ferment was finished, all the barrels received battonage periodically to increase mouth feel and texture. The wines were then racked off the lees in December and put back in their prospective tanks until early summer when it was blended and prepared for bottling.
Tasting Notes: Lovely tropical fruit aromas with just a hint of spice. Well balanced acid and sugar. Tropical and citrus flavours with a bit of minerality and a lovely long finish.

2019 Oldfield Reserve Chardonnay
Grape Variety: 100% Muscat
Tasting Notes: Lovely tropical fruit aromas with just a hint of spice. Well balanced acid and sweet fruit. Tropical and citrus flavours with a bit of minerality and a lovely long finish.

2018 Oldfield Reserve Roussanne
Our 2018 Oldfield Reserve Roussanne was naturally fermented in French Oak in a combination of small barriques and larger format barrels called puncheons. Once fermentation was complete, the wine was aged a further 12 months in the same barrels. This wine is medium bodied with a light creamy texture with hints of vanilla and oak spice with a nice long finish of preserved lemon and lime.
