Tantalus Vineyards Take Over – Wednesday, August 8, 2018
One of the Okanagan Valley’s most recognised wineries, Tantalus Vineyards will be taking over the YEW seafood + bar wine list for one special night. Their wines capture the imagination and provide perfect harmony with YEW’s locally driven, seafood-centric menu. YEW’s dishes highlight the best of BC’s summer harvest and create a local sense of place and taste when paired with Tantalus wines. Guest can raise a carefully crafted glass while learning from the gregarious Winemaker/General Manager David Paterson.
This takeover offers three unique experiences to YEW guests:
- VIP Menu – Incudes a guided, five-course tasting menu paired with Tantalus wines that includes front row access to winemaker David Paterson and Restaurant Chef Stephen Bukoff at the communal chef’s table. Priced at CAD 175*- maximum 14 seats.
- Prix Fixe Menu – Incudes a five-course tasting menu paired with Tantalus wines in the dining room with a meet and greet from Winemaker David Paterson who will introduce the evening’s wines. Priced at CAD 149*
- A La Carte – Guests are invited to choose their favourite YEW dishes with one-night only Tantalus wine pairings and a meet and greet with winemaker David Paterson.

The Sunday Summer Seafood Boil Dining Series Returns This July and August
The team at YEW seafood + bar is celebrating all summer long by bringing back the ultra-popular family style Dungeness Crab + Lobster Boil Series. Guests will tie on a bib (yours to keep) and raise a complimentary glass of wine to begin the evening.These communal family-style dinners promise to be fun and delicious. Tickets are CAD 78 per person and include an heirloom tomato salad, lobster plus dungeness crab, heirloom potatoes, Chilliwack corn, roasted mushrooms, blistered green beans and grilled sweet mini peppers topped with curried aioli, confit garlic butter, and lemon caper relish. Team it up with lemon poppy seed popovers and finish with a gorgeous seasonal cherry clafoutis. Choose from one of six summer Sundays including July 15, 22, 29 and August 12, 19 and 26, 2018. Guests can quench a summer thirst with YEW’s re-imagined lineup of summer sangrias. Try one or all three of the new offerings that include YEW’s White, Red and Rosé Sangria. White Sangria is a summer splash featuring white wine, white peach, peach liqueur, white cranberry juice and soda. Red Sangria is easy sipping with red wine, cinnamon, orange, port, berry shrub and soda. And the crowd-pleasing Rosé Sangria is a delicious concoction of rosé (yes please) strawberry, basil, black lime, Cointreau, cranberry juice and soda. Available all summer long for CAD 17 each or for just CAD 12 during YEW’s Aperitivo Hour.
