On Friday, October 19 2018, Vancouverites will have the chance to enjoy a special preview of wines newly released by Blue Mountain Vineyard and Cellars. The wines will be featured at a sparkling wine reception hosted by the Terminal City Club.
Owned by the Mavety family, Blue Mountain is known for crafting award-winning wines solely from grapes grown on its own Okanagan estate. Winery proprietor Christie Mavety will be on hand to greet guests at the reception-style event, which will include the winery’s newly released sparkling wines as well as a premium selection of sought-after Blue Mountain still wines:
The wines will be paired with canapés such as miniature Beef Wellington with horseradish aioli, Prawn gyoza with soy caramel, Comte cheese tart with red currant gel and caramelized onion, and Gochujang chicken with lime.
Tickets to the reception are $45 and may be purchased online here.

About Blue Mountain Vineyard and Cellars: Located in BC’s South Okanagan, Blue Mountain Vineyard and Cellars is distinctive among Canadian wineries in that all its wines are produced exclusively from grapes grown on the estate’s vineyards. Ian Mavety purchased the land that is now Blue Mountain Vineyard in 1971. Current owners Ian, Jane, Matt, and Christie Mavety continue to work to realize the potential of the region, utilizing sustainable farming methods and winemaking practices. Blue Mountain produces complex, age-worthy varietal wines that are consistent in style while allowing the expression of both the terroir and the individual growing season.
