It’s been a long day at work, deadlines and stress. You’re finally relaxing at home just de-stressing. You’re hungry so what’s for dinner? Checking the fridge, scrounging the cupboard and nothing matches your craving for dinner.
Solution: you have two options that are much better than grabbing the cereal box and stuffing yourself with handfuls of Cheerios.
So here is what I recommend: Rudi’s Vic is always the answer for your next Girl Dinner dilemma. My last visit with another Girl was the only answer to what did you eat your last Girl Dinner. Here’s what we tried.
Girls Dinner at home: you find a jar of olives at the back of the fridge – Girl Dinner
Girls Dinner at Rudi’s:
Marinated Olives: Calabrian chili parsley, shallots

A very generous portion of assorted warm olives. Slight salty, moderately spicy, warm and rather tasty. Rudi’s for the win!
Girls Dinner at home: you find a bag of dates in the bottom of your cupboard – Girl Dinner
Girls Dinner at Rudi’s:
Bacon Dates: Two skewers of bacon wrapped dates

Bacon wrapped dates covered all Girl food group cravings, warm, sweet, salty, crispy, gooey and outrageously delicious. Yum!
Girls Dinner at home: you eat handfuls of broken crumbly crackers out of the box
Girls Dinner at Rudi’s:
Arancini: Two arancini, rotating flavour

Two big balls of warm deliciousness, soft and a bit spicy inside with a crunchy, cheesy outside nestled on a tasty, saucy aioli. Big enough you need a knife and fork to best enjoy these tasty morsels.
Girls Dinner at home: leftover chicken wing of indeterminate age
Girls Dinner at Rudi’s:
Chicken Drumsticks: Two drumsticks with hot honey and ranch

Surprisingly they really mean drumsticks when they say drumsticks, not your punny wing sticks here, these babies were huge. These Chicken Drumsticks are smothered in tangy hot honey ready to dip in a creamy ranch sauce. This beats anything I make at home.
Girls Dinner at home: a slice of leftover processed ham you forgot you had
Girls Dinner at Rudi’s:
Salumi & Cheese: manchego, D’affinois Brie, Aged Gouda, Schinkenspeck, Soppressata, Bavarian Salami (option to add baguette $2)

Shaved manchego and a generous portion, this is a great option for meat lovers. Four, count ’em, four big slices of baguette and a heap of crunchy cornichons. A meat and bread lovers paradise.
Rudi’s absolutely puts the Girl Dinner in a whole new category. A delicious category. This is an impressive offering at a friendly Girl Dinner price. $8. for each of these tasty offerings and $22. for your choice of three, even more budget friendly.
So grab your best pal, or a group of your best pals and head down to Rudi’s.
Grab a seat at the bar and just enjoy the Girls Dinner. Add a bevie:
Daiquiri Della Casa ($16) house Amaro, Planeteray 3 Star, lime, sugar .
Amaro Della Casa & Bacon Date ($10) 1 oz house Amaro with a bacon date on the side
Amari Flights ($16) 3 x .75 oz pours
Alpine & Herbal a bright, but intense style of amaro, highlighting Alpine regional herbs and flowers. Often associated with gentian, cooling herbs and conifer
Fruity & Floral unusual to see in classic Amari styles, floral elements are equally associated with Nothern Italy, explored in new world styles.
Bitter & Bold Medicinal, bitter, and revitalizing. These styles will put a pep in your step and a taste of boot polish in your mouth.
Rudi’s also has an excellent wine and cocktail list. Here is what we enjoyed with our Girl Dinner:

ABOUT RUDI
Rudi grew up on the west coast. They have tasted the fruits of far off lands. Scents, sounds, images and the energy of the World’s most magnificent cities. Cities with a history. A culture. With roots. With experience.
They bring this experience home with a sense of wonder and curiosity. Of longing and searching for their own identity. One they are committed to discover through craft and experimentation. To understand and discover their own identity. Their own version of their lineage.
The medium for this exploration is food. Not to replicate their great grandmother’s Rouladen, but to create something new, that would make her proud.
