Spread throughout two buildings encompassing over 25,000 sq ft, each 1 hour tour is made up of 30 newly departed guests, who, after meeting with their Afterlife Caseworker, will be split up into two groups and sent out to search for the characters and clues needed to reach their next destination.
Whether it’s with a group of ‘ghoulfriends’ getting together for a night out, or a romantic date, Vancouver TheatreSports™ (VTS) dares you to laugh this October with its spirited lineup of Halloween-themed shows taking place Tuesday, October 22 to Thursday, October 31 at The Improv Centre on Granville Island.
VTS honours the beginning of autumn with a special improv show dedicated to school days. Back to School TheatreSports takes classic TheatreSports short form improv ‘games’ and adapts them to parody classroom clichés and cliques (some things never change).
Now in its 19th year of celebrating culturally rich works in comedy, music, theatre and dance, the Chutzpah! Festival has established a reputation for presenting Vancouver audiences with new and exciting, critically acclaimed artists from all over the world.
Join us for five days of comedy, talks, and a myriad of workshops and classes offered by prolific local performers and creators. #monsoonartsfest @southasianarts
The Summer Lounge Series will see Seven Tyrants Theatre continue to present weekly entertainment in their full service Bar and Lounge, offering Vancouver a variety of professional music and comedy shows each week
The SuperDad Show pokes fun at the foibles and challenges of what it means to be a modern Dad. Based on audience suggestions, VTS’ quick-witted improvisers could explore such timeless themes as ‘two-Dad families’, ‘Dads and their love affair with the barbecue’, ‘hockey Dads’, ‘Dad, can I have the keys to the car?’
The show began with a riveting live performance of the Game of Thrones theme music by Johanna Sö on violin and Duane Keogh on the cajón. I was sitting mere feet from these two gifted performers and the music literally went though me. Utterly amazing.
Colin Mochrie, Vancouver TheatreSports™ (VTS) alumnus and star of Whose Line Is It Anyway, returns this May to Vancouver TheatreSports™ for three benefit performances.
