MEAT AND GREET: WILDEBEEST TO HOST ‘PINK LINKS’ SAUSAGE AND ROSÉ PARTY ON MAY 16 AS PART OF TOP DROP VANCOUVER

Gastown Hotspot Hosts Casual Grazing Dinner, Wine Tasting Event in Private,
‘Underbelly’ Dining Quarters with Partial Proceeds Donated to BC Hospitality Foundation

Wildebeest will usher in the fifth annual Top Drop Vancouver festival by hosting a ‘Pink Links’ Sausage and Rosé Party in its private, lower-level ‘Underbelly’ dining room on Wednesday, May 16 at 8 p.m.

A laidback stand-up-style mingler, the event will feature an assortment of sausages made in house by Chef Ian McHale including: Fresh Chorizo and Pineapple with Coriander Emulsion; Hunter’s Salami with Violet Mustard and Gorgonzola; Pistachio Mortadella with Pickled Figs; Mac & Cheese Hotdogs with Beer Mustard; Pork and Apricot Sausages with Agrodolce; and Andouille Sausage with Pickled Red Pepper.

McHale has collaborated with Wildebeest Wine Director Justin Everett to pair the meats, served canapé-style, with a selection of their favourite boutique wines from the Top Drop festival. Guests will be invited to sip rosé wines from New-World producers such as BC’s Bella Wines (Naramata) and Tantalus Vineyards (Kelowna) and California’s Copain Wines (Sonoma) as well as Old-World vintners such as Italy’s G.D. Vajra (Barolo) and Rocca di Montegrossi (Chianti) and France’s Maison Antech (Limoux).

Part of the two-day Top Drop event that showcases a carefully curated collection of small, hands-on wineries, craft breweries, and cideries at various restaurants across Vancouver, tickets to Wildebeest’s Sausage and Rosé Party are available for $39 per person, inclusive of tax and gratuity, and may be purchased online at https://wildebeest.ca/events.

Partial proceeds will directly benefit the BC Hospitality Foundation, a local charity that provides support for individuals within the hospitality industry coping with a financial crisis arising from a health or medical condition.
