Nightingale Hosts Multi-Course Guest Chef Collaboration in Support of Hawksworth Young Chef Scholarship Foundation

 

Scholarship Founder, Chef David Hawksworth is joined by Nightingale’s Head Chef and Top Chef Canada finalist Phil Scarfone and his fellow contestant on the show, Renée Lavallée, Chef and owner of The Canteen & Little C of Dartmouth, N.S.
 

Experience an evening of culinary inspiration, as Chef David Hawksworth (Scholarship Founder and owner of the Hawksworth Restaurant Group) Chef Phil Scarfone (Nightingale and Top Chef Canada finalist) and Chef Renée Lavallée (Chef and owner of The Canteen & Little C of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia) join together in a unique culinary collaboration to benefit young Canadian chefs.

 

“After competing against and working alongside Chef Lavallée on the latest season of the Food Network’s, Top Chef Canada, I am thrilled to welcome her to Vancouver and the Nightingale kitchen to support another Canadian culinary competition,” says Chef Scarfone. “We understand how tough it is to get ahead in our industry and are proud to be able to provide inspiration and support to others that may want to follow in our footsteps.”

 

“We’re excited to have Chef Lavallée join our judging panel this year” adds Chef Hawksworth. “Not only does the Hawksworth Young Chef Scholarship provide a platform for Canada’s top young chefs to demonstrate their talent and win a $10,000 cash prize, it also offers a chance for competitors to meet fellow chefs from across the country and participate in a variety of educational and mentorship opportunities, as well as alumni experiences, to help them thrive in their culinary career.”

 

For one night only, Chef Scarfone and Chef Lavallée reunite alongside Chef David Hawksworth to combine their love for simple, fresh ingredients and create an inspiring multi-course dining experience on the top floor of Nightingale restaurant. In signature Nightingale fashion, each course will be served family-style, using the best in locally-sourced ingredients, paired alongside a dynamic selection of wine pairings chosen by Hawksworth Young Chef Scholarship sponsor, Select Wines. Reception and canapés begin at 6:30pm, followed by dinner at 7:00pm.
