Imperial Series Announced for the 34th Annual TD Vancouver International Jazz Festival

Coastal Jazz & Blues Society announced today the Imperial Series, performances taking place at The Imperial (319 Main Street) during the 2019 TD Vancouver International Jazz Festival, which runs this summer from Friday, June 21 to Monday, July 1.

Indian identities explored through lens of groundbreaking artists in new photography exhibition

The Vancouver Art Gallery presents a major exhibition of works by thirteen artists based in India whose photographic practices focus on constructing and reconstructing realities. Moving Still: Performative Photography in India is on view April 19 to September 2, 2019 and showcases more than one hundred works, dating from the 1800s to the present. This exhibition examines themes of gender, religion and sexual identity using photography, an important medium in India since the mid-nineteenth century.

Blaze Pizza and Five Guys Burgers to donate proceeds to Children’s Wish on Tuesday, March 26

On Tuesday, March 26, Blaze Pizza and Five Guys Burgers will celebrate Children’s Wish Month by donating 20% of proceeds from all locations in B.C., Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and Ontario to the Children’s Wish Foundation. A total of 84 locations in these provinces will be participating.
