DINE OUT VANCOUVER CELEBRATES 15 YEARS OF EXCEPTIONAL FOOD AND DRINK:

BOOKINGS AND MENUS LAUNCH TODAY

The tables are set, the glassware is polished, and Dine Out Vancouver Festival’s participating restaurants have been revealed! This morning, festival menus were posted and bookings are now live on www.dineoutvancouver.com.

Tourism Vancouver’s 15th annual Dine Out Vancouver Festival is bringing the flavour with more than 100 food-themed experiences, more than a dozen hotel options for special room rates and culinary packages, and 284 restaurants dishing up prix fixe menus at $20, $30 and $40 price points (many with BC VQA wine pairings available at an additional cost).

Dine Out is the perfect opportunity for locals and visitors to sip, sample and savour Vancouver’s array of exotic flavours (Peruvian, German, Brazilian, Italian, Greek, Ethiopian, Chinese, Japanese and East Indian, to name but a few); try new and buzz-worthy eateries (Cacao, Mission Kits, Ritual and House Special, for starters); and return to locally loved haunts. This year, a number of iconic restaurants have joined the Dine Out roster for the first time, including long-standing Kitsilano treasure Bishop’s and world-renowned Vij’s.

Culinary events add extra sizzle, and this year’s lineup is particularly spicy. Back by popular demand, the second annual Vancouver World Chef Exchange, presented by Aeroplan, hosts a series of exclusive dinners that pair top chefs from London, New York, San Francisco, Mexico City and Galway with local chefs to produce powerhouse feasts in five Vancouver restaurants. Tasty new additions include an Oceanwise Pop-up at the Vancouver Aquarium (sustainable, locally sourced menu paired with an interactive under-the-sea experience); a celebration of the ”Year of the Rooster” at Heritage Asian Eatery’s Lunar New Year Dinner (10-course Asian-inspired family-style feast); and a perfect excuse to ride the caffeine buzz on Vancouver’s Best Roasting, Coffee & Beer Tour (learn about Vancouver’s booming coffee and craft beer culture, and sip a brew or two). Returning favourites include Secret Supper Soirée (travel back to the ‘30s and spend the evening sipping cocktails and noshing on canapés in a secret speakeasy); The Grape Debate (gain insight into the world of winemaking from an esteemed panel of experts, while tasting of some of the finest BC VQA wines); and award-winning bartender Lauren Mote’s Cocktail Masterclasses (four nights of themed interactive mixology workshops and spirited tastings).

Dine Out is supported by premier partner Aeroplan and festival partners Wines of British Columbia and YP Dine, along with various preferred partners. Now quit your salivating – it’s time to book your dream culinary experience. Happy Dine Out!
