If you enjoy BC wines, then Tuesday, March 26 is a wine-coloured day on your calendar. That is the day that Provence Marinaside presents a four-course winemaker dinner featuring wines from the award-winning Road 13 Vineyards. Known for being one of the best producers of Rhone-style wines in Canada, Road 13 was named the 2018 Winery of the Year by Wine Align National Wine Awards of Canada.
“This is a great opportunity for the public to taste these extraordinary Rhone-style wines paired with Provence’s French-inspired cuisine. They are wonderful complements to one another,” comments Joshua Carlson, Wine Director for Provence Marinaside and TWB-The Wine Bar.
Every summer, Carlson, along with Provence’s Executive Chef/Owner Jean Francis Quaglia and members of the sommelier team, travel to BC wine country to engage in in-depth tastings with winemakers to select wines for the restaurant’s list. Provence Marinaside (along with its adjacent wine bar TWB) is famed for offering the largest wine-by-the-glass selection in North America. “Meeting the winemakers and seeing the terroir is an important part of the education process for Provence’s staff,” continues Carlson. “It is a privilege to showcase the stellar wines being produced in this province.”
Joe Luckhurst, Road 13’s General Manager and a team from the winery will be joining Carlson, Chef Quaglia and Chef de Cuisine Sheldon Maloff for this very special dinner.
Seating is limited and will be assigned. Each table will be hosted by someone from Road 13 – offering a unique opportunity for authentic and intimate interaction with the people who produce the wines. The evening begins with a reception at 6:30 p.m. followed by the dinner at 7 p.m.
