Boulevard Kitchen & Oyster Bar Hosts Exclusive ‘La Paulée’-Style Wine Dinner Series Starting May 30

CALLING ALL CONNOISSEURS: BOULEVARD KITCHEN & OYSTER BAR HOSTS EXCLUSIVE ‘LA PAULÉE’-STYLE WINE DINNER SERIES STARTING MAY 30

Events Offer Wine Aficionados Chance to Pair Their Own Cellared Wines with Restaurant’s Award-Winning Cuisine, Service and Style During Multi-Course ‘BYOB’ Dinners

Boulevard Kitchen & Oyster Bar Executive General Manager/Wine Director JP Potters will showcase the award-winning restaurant’s top-shelf wine program when he hosts a series a series of three exclusive ‘La Paulée’-style wine dinners on May 30, September 19 and November 24.

The series from Boulevard — which was recently singled out for the No. 31 spot on the 2019 list of Canada’s 100 Best Restaurants and the ‘Best Hotel Dining’ nod at the 2019 Where to Dine Vancouver awards — follows the tradition of the annual ‘La Paulée de Meursault’ celebration that would gather vignerons, cellar and vineyard workers and the community in Burgundy, France together for a communal feast where winemakers would showcase their most prized bottles following the harvest.

Boulevard’s spin on the celebratory event invites wine lovers to bring their very best bottles to the table and enjoy multi-course menus custom created for each occasion by Boulevard’s award-winning chefs Alex Chen and Roger Ma. The first dinner in the series will spotlight Burgundy & Northern Rhône and feature such French-inspired fare as pâté en croûte, poultry roulade of Thiessen Farm quail and beef short rib ‘Bourguignon’ as well as a cheese course and bon bon service provided by Executive Pastry Chef Kenta Takahashi.

The May 30th dinner will be followed by two more ‘La Paulée’ events taking centre stage in Boulevard’s private dining quarters on September 19 (Bordeaux 2000 and earlier) and November 24 (Barolo and Brunello di Montalcino), respectively. All three events begin with a 6 p.m. reception followed by dinner service.
