WINTER WINE RELEASES

This winter we released new vintages of several of our 2019 reds, and for the month of February, we are offering free shipping across Canada for all our wines with minimum 6 bottle online orders.

2019 Selected Barrels Merlot
$17.99 per bottle (B.C. + tax)

The fruit for this Merlot was sourced from our Golden Mile Bench estate vineyard and select grower vineyards in the south Okanagan. The grapes were handpicked, sorted, destemmed and left whole to ferment in our Italian Ganimede fermenters for gentle flavour and colour extraction. The blend was aged in French and American Oak for 8 months for an accessible and savoury wine with well-balanced acidity and nicely integrated tannins.

2019 Selected Barrels Cabernet Merlot
$17.99 per bottle (B.C. + tax)

Crafted with handpicked fruit, the grapes for this wine were sourced from our Golden Mile Bench vineyard along with select growers in Oliver and Osoyoos. Complex yet approachable, this pleasing blend of Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Cabernet Sauvignon has sumptuous aromas of black currant, blackberry and fragrant sage. The palate displays medium tannins with light toasty vanilla notes, highlighted with rich plum and ripe black cherry flavours.

2019 Character Red $18.99 (B.C. + tax)
Fruit for our Character Red is sourced primarily from our historic estate vineyard on the Golden Mile Bench. The predominant varietals in this vintage are our Italian Merlot along with Syrah and Petit Verdot. Small amounts of Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc were added to the blend for additional savoury red fruit, peppery elements and to contribute a more dynamic finish. A wine of character and finesse with a lengthy finish.

At Hester Creek Estate Winery, our roots run deep. As one of the oldest wine properties in the South Okanagan, we are graced with historic vineyards and a modern winery. A pioneer on the Golden Mile Bench, our vineyard was first planted with classic varietals in 1968.  Blending traditional, sustainable vineyard practices and innovative winemaking with a state of the art cellar, our wines reflect our celebrated terroir.  A destination winery, Hester Creek offers a gracious wine country welcome to guests, with premium old vines wines, and unique True Wine Experiences. Our Mediterranean influenced setting offers customized tastings, scenic patios, summer barbeques, live music, farm-to-table cooking classes, luxury Tuscany styled Villa, and Italian inspired dining at Terrafina.
