Since moving to its permanent location on East 7th Avenue in September 2011, the Sarah McLachlan School of Music (SoM) has been a staple in the Mount Pleasant community and beyond, offering a full spectrum of music programming and learning resources to those it positively impacts most.
Vancouver Junior Roller Derby is the home of youth roller derby in the Metro Vancouver area. Since 2013, its 50+ skaters ranging in age from 6 to 18 across all skill levels have enjoyed weekly practices in the Mount Pleasant Community Centre gymnasium.

Students from UBC Okanagan’s Bachelor of Fine Arts program are once again working to create a mural in downtown Kelowna. 10 students are participating with Instructor David Doody and his partner, UBCO Teaching Assistant Jorden Doody, to create a new mural at 1358 St. Paul Street.
