A NEW CHAPTER FOR CANADA’S LONGEST RUNNING
NATIONAL WINE COMPETITION
The All Canadian Wine Championship (ACWC), Canada’s longest running national wine championship has entered an exciting new chapter with new leadership, renewed momentum, and an overwhelming support from wineries across the country.
Led by the new Director Tanya Sammut, this years championship welcomed more than 1000 entries from Canadian wineries. The participation reinforces the championships role as one of the nation’s most respected benchmarks for quality in Canadian winemaking.
“This year’s championship marks more than a change in leadership, it represents a renewed commitment to celebrating the people, regions, and wineries that continue to shape Canadian wine,” said Tanya Sammut, Director of the All Canadian Wine Championships. “The response from wineries across the country has been incredibly encouraging, and we are honoured by the trust they’ve placed in the championship.”
The 2026 competition brought together respected judges from across Canada, representing a broad range of expertise and perspectives. Their collective experience helps ensure the intergrity of the judging process while recognizing excellence across every style and region of Canadian wine.
With a successful first year under new leadership, the All Canadian Wine Championship looks ahead with a renewed vision, one that honours its rich history, while continuing to elevate Canadian wine for producers, industry professionals and consumers alike.
