Spirited Creations Take Center Stage at Tulalip Resort Casino

Resort Chefs Create Dishes Incorporating Locally Crafted Spirits

Who says “spirits of the bar kind” can’t play nicely with others? Tulalip Resort chefs are preparing a masterpiece inspired by these locally sourced bar essentials to add a punch to their restaurant menus.

Beginning January 2, 2019, Tulalip Resort Casino chefs are pairing up with Washington state artisan, small-batch distilleries, to showcase pours from the region. The event will feature Sound Spirits‘ Ebb and Flow Vodka, Wildwood Spirits Company‘s Dark Door Bourbon, Heritage Distillery‘s Brown Sugar Bourbon and BSB Bourbon, 3 Howls Distillery‘s 3 Back Beat Bourbon, Westland Distillery’s Peated Whiskey, Dry County Distillery‘s Apple Pie and Hot Spiced Rum, Chuckanut Bay Distillery’s Krampus Herbal Liqueur and Skip Rock Distillery‘s Triticale. Check out these spirited creations from now through February 3, 2019.

“Washington state has so many fantastic spirits to offer and we really wanted to inspire the chefs to make something magical this year,” said Tulalip Resort Casino Executive Chef Perry Mascitti. “The culmination of hard work and dedication to local distillers has reaped the most flavorful, aromatic and unique tasting spirits on the market. From Whiskey to Vodka and Gin, our Spirited Creations dishes will have our guests embarking on another world entirely – while in the comfort of being near home.”

Complimenting these decadent local spirits, guests can sample a plate of Skip Rock Distillery Triticale Whiskey marinated Venison Osso Bucco at Blackfish Wild Salmon Grill & Bar. Another option is the Black Truffle Dusted Beef Tenderloin with a 3 Howls Back Beat Bourbon demi-glace at Cedars Café. Savor an order of Bloody Mary Sliders made with Sound Spirits Ebb + Flow Vodka at The Draft Sports Bar.

Guests may also opt to head over to Eagles Buffet where you can find their Dry County Distillery Apple Pie Pork Loin or Journeys East for their Thai Roasted Whiskey Pork served with a sweet and spicy Thai dipping sauce and rice.

Tula Bene Pastaria + Chophouse is serving a trifecta of local spirits in their Charred Wagyu Beef and Smoked Pork Belly dish. Featuring a Chuckanut Bay Distillery Krampus Herbal Liqueur glaze, Westland Peated Whiskey demi-glace and the Dry County Distillery Hot Spiced Rum and Wassail reduction.

Dark Door BLT Pizza will be the spirited pizza special at Blazing Paddles Stone Fired Pizza. The Dark Door Bourbon is infused with smoked bacon and onions, set atop olive oil, provolone cheese, arugula and sun-dried tomatoes on their fresh house-made dough.

Tulalip Resort Casino Sommelier Tom Thompson offered, “What better way to start off 2019 than by delighting in exceptionally handcrafted spirits from around the state? This could very well be the best way to kick off 2019.”
