#TasteItalia Mamma Marzia’s Lemon Cookies with Indigenous World Muscat

Christmas is coming and it is time to bake some delicious cookies. These cookies are one of our favourites; I love to make them with my kids around Christmas time. I highly suggest you to try to make them; they will melt in your mouth.

Lemon Cookies


  • 110 grams sugar
  • 100 grams butter
  • 1 egg room temperature 
  • The juice and the zest of one lemon
  • 100 grams soft butter
  • 270 grams flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • Icing sugar
  • Sugar
  • A sprinkle of love


Beat the sugar with the butter until it’s creamy. Add the egg, mix and add the lemon zest and the juice! Add the flour and the baking powder and mix very well! Cover the dough and let it rest for 30 minutes in the fridge! Turn the oven to 350, grab the dough and start to make your cookies taking a small piece and roll out a small ball with your hands! Roll the cookies in the sugar first and then in icing sugar! Put them on a baking sheet and cook them for 10 minutes. Buon Appetito.

Indigenous World 2018 Muscat

Grown on a tiny 2 acre parcel below the winer y in West Kelowna, this year’s Muscat is a combination of all three clones we grow – Ottonel, Orange and Hamburg. Leading with floral and citrus aromas and transitioning into blood orange, white nectarine and kiwi fruit on the palate.

Note: This is off-dry but not a really sweet wine. I am suggesting it as a pairing with the Lemon Cookies because of its citrus notes and good acidity.
