BC Lieutenant Governor’s Wine Awards Recognizes the Best in BC Wines, Honours Tim Pawsey, Wine of the Year
Silver and gold medals were awarded. The top two percent of medal winners received platinum medals, with one wine receiving the 2021 BC Lieutenant Governor’s Award for Wine of the Year.
BC’s Largest and Most Prestigious Wine Competition Returns to Kelowna
On September 8-11, the Okanagan Wine Festivals Society will once again hold the BC Lieutenant Governor’s Wine Awards at Manteo Resort in Kelowna. As the premier wine judging competition in BC, this event provides the opportunity for all licensed BC wineries to have their best wines judged by a highly esteemed industry panel.
BC Lieutenant Governor’s Wine Awards Announced
“As this competition continues to grow, we are seeing not only the number of entries increase but more importantly the caliber of wines entered continues to get better each year,” says Okanagan Wine Festivals Society Judging Chair, Julian Scholefield.
Emotions run high as wine awards handed out
Since 1985, The Founder’s Award recognizes outstanding and selfless contributions to the wine and grape growing industry and is offered as an achievement to pioneers of British Columbia wine.
