Immigrant and refugee women new to Canada are being offered the chance to break in to Vancouver’s booming technology industry, thanks to TechWomen — a newly launched initiative spearheaded by Emily Carr University of Art + Design (ECU) and the Immigrant Services Society of BC (ISSofBC).

British Columbia Hotel Association recognizes Ian Powell, Managing Director, Inn at Laurel Point & Paul’s Motor Inn as hotelier of the year.

The Sam Payne Lifetime Achievement Award recognizes a person with an outstanding body of work in the performing arts industry. The Sam Payne Award recognizes a performer whose personal characteristics mirror those of Sam Payne.
