In this bold one-man multi-media show, writer and theatre-maker Javaad Alipoor explores the smoke and mirrors world of online extremism, anonymity and hate speech – and weaves together their stories. The Believers are But Brothers is an urgent political riff on young men and the internet, weaving together the story of masculinity, fantasy, violence and reality.

The Cultch presents KISMET, things have changed

Ten years ago, four artists in their late 20s and early 30s travelled across the country to interview 100 people, aged 1 to 100 about what they believed in. What resulted was the widely acclaimed national treasure KISMET, one to one hundred. Now, a decade later, and in a new place in life (with parental death, marriage, children, career changes and relocation) the same team set out to find the surviving people and interviewed them again.

The BC SPCA is releasing a special recipe book to inspire bakers and animal lovers to get involved in Treat Week™, the year’s sweetest fundraiser. Treat Week runs February 24 to March 1, 2020, a time when animal lovers around the province make, bake or buy treats and give them away in exchange for a donation.

During the festival, we’re offering an exclusive three-course set menu with choices such as albacore tuna (white navy bean, compressed celery, tonnato parsley, za’atar crisp), ling cod (sunchoke curry, fermented rutabaga, braised hazelnuts), and house made rigatoni (caramelized cauliflower and cashew fondue preserved lemon, calabrian chili sofrito) for $45 plus tax and gratuity. Wine pairings are also available for an additional charge.

Provence’s three-course DOVF Menu is great value at only $45 with an optional all-British Columbia wine pairing for each course created by Wine Director Joshua Carlson. The wine pairing comes in two sizes – regular for $25 and petit pour for $15. Wines are also available individually if you do not wish to indulge in all of them.  Provence Marinaside’s Dine Out Menu will be available at both lunch and dinner.
