The enthusiastic, energetic, and talented cast started the show with humour, delivering the usually dull housekeeping items, dance skilfully through the production, to a finale with a great group number, that had the audience leaving on a high, humming, and dancing to the familiar ABBA songs.
Newsies is the story of a rag tag group of kids who took on a group of newspaper tycoons including Joseph Pulitzer and William Randolph Hearst and won.
Audiences will bathe in the warmth of a Greek island and witness a fight for what’s right this summer, when Theatre Under the Stars (TUTS) presents Mamma Mia! and Disney’s Newsies, running alternate evenings July 5–August 17, 2019, at Stanley Park’s glorious Malkin Bowl.
