Members of Vancouver’s hospitality community are uniting in solidarity to urge the public’s support of the local independent restaurant and service industry as well as those whose livelihoods rely on them, by offering myriad ways to show support during this unprecedented time of COVID-19.
Several Vancouver chefs have banded together to end the stigma on speaking out about the prevalence of mental health issues in the kitchen. They want people to speak up and loud. On Monday, November 18, 2019 at 6:30 p.m., the whole community is invited to help mobilize change in the hospitality industry with the launch of the inaugural Kitchen Aide fundraiser at Café Medina (780 Richards Street).
“Taste of Yaletown is a longstanding community event, connecting people with Yaletown over exquisite culinary dishes,” states Annette O’Shea, Executive Director of the Yaletown Business Improvement Association. “This year is all about choice, we know diners don’t always have time for a 3-course menu, so we wanted to provide them with a taste of Happy Hour…”
