This year’s DISH sponsor is New Zealand Winegrowers, and 20 New Zealand wineries will be pouring samples that illustrate the astonishing diversity of high-quality wines the country produces.
Launched in February 2018, the cocktail program pays tribute to alpine regions across the globe through multi-sensory cocktails enriched in captivating visuals, aromatic fragrances, complex flavours and a variety of textures.
Each year there are only a handful of restaurants that receive a platinum award and this year, L’Abattoir was among just seven restaurants in both BC and Alberta to be honoured at the highest level.
Black Hills Estate Winery winemaker Ross Wise is Canada’s newest Master of Wine. Only the seventh to be awarded the honour in Canada, and the fourth in British Columbia.
“It is an absolute honour to have our spirits recognized at the national level,” said Gordon Glanz, Odd Society Spirits founder and distiller. “We are very proud to be representing the West Coast along with many other innovative and respected B.C. distilleries.”
Housing a uniquely large sommelier team of eight highly trained and accredited individuals, Nightingale offers diners the opportunity to utilize the sommelier’s knowledge for guidance along the extensive wine selection.
