Tacofino is set to host Shift Change — an event designed to bring the local hospitality community together to create dialogue and exchange ideas to improve the quality of life for those working within an often-challenging industry — at its Ocho location at 8 E 5th Avenue on Monday, November 25 at 6 p.m.
The Bacchus 35th Anniversary tasting menu ($79 per person) is an homage to Bacchus classics. A three-course tasting menu, guests have the option of adding a wine pairing ($32 per person) as well.
“To be named as one of Canada’s best new restaurants is definitely something we couldn’t have anticipated,” says Shaun Layton, who opened ¿CóMO? Taperia last year alongside fellow industry veterans Frankie Harrington and Justin Witcher. “All we wanted to do was give Vancouver a little piece of Spain we love so much. Where people can enjoy popular Spanish drinks and creative, yet, simple tapas together in an intimate space with fun and great hospitality. It’s an incredible honour.”
