BC SPCA Whips Up Recipe Book for Treat Week™

The BC SPCA is releasing a special recipe book to inspire bakers and animal lovers to get involved in Treat Week™, the year’s sweetest fundraiser. Treat Week runs February 24 to March 1, 2020, a time when animal lovers around the province make, bake or buy treats and give them away in exchange for a donation.  

Elevated dining: Hawksworth x Steeps Bar & Grill

“Combining my passion for food and love for skiing by partnering with Whistler Blackcomb to host an aprés ski pop-up at Steeps Grill & Wine Bar is something I look forward to each winter season,” says Chef David Hawksworth. “My team and I love providing mountain goers and visitors of the area an amazing dining experience that reflects the outstanding quality of the resort as a whole.”

During the festival, we’re offering an exclusive three-course set menu with choices such as albacore tuna (white navy bean, compressed celery, tonnato parsley, za’atar crisp), ling cod (sunchoke curry, fermented rutabaga, braised hazelnuts), and house made rigatoni (caramelized cauliflower and cashew fondue preserved lemon, calabrian chili sofrito) for $45 plus tax and gratuity. Wine pairings are also available for an additional charge.

Provence Marinaside special three-course menu for Dine Out Vancouver 2020

Provence’s three-course DOVF Menu is great value at only $45 with an optional all-British Columbia wine pairing for each course created by Wine Director Joshua Carlson. The wine pairing comes in two sizes – regular for $25 and petit pour for $15. Wines are also available individually if you do not wish to indulge in all of them.  Provence Marinaside’s Dine Out Menu will be available at both lunch and dinner.

Dine Out Vancouver’s The Great Big Taste on Thursday, January 16 2020 will pair bites from some of Vancouver’s top chefs with BC wine, craft beer, and spirit samples. Tickets to the event, which takes place the night before the festival opens, are $89 all in, making it a great to brighten up your January calendar.

Dine Out Vancouver’s Street Food City returns Jan 17 – 19 and Jan 31 – Feb 6

Tourism Vancouver, StreetFood Vancouver Society and the Downtown Vancouver Business Improvement Association (DVBIA) present this informal branch of Dine Out Vancouver. Partial proceeds from the event will help support the BC Hospitality Foundation, which supports those in the province’s hospitality industry facing financial crisis due to health issues.
