September 8 is a big day for husband-wife duo Kyla Richey and Rudy Verhoeff. It’s the day they open the doors to – Valley Commons in the south Okanagan’s District Wine Village (DWV).
Deep, rich aromas of ripe fruit. Good colour and clarity. For such a young wine it has excellent body and distinctly mature flavours, mainly plum torte, followed by Red Delicious apples.
Our very first red in a bottle! Rubeus/Rubicon: Named after a river in Italy (the Rubicon) that marked the point of no return. True to the origins of this wine, a portion of the different varietals used in this blend are co-fermented.
The Verhoeff family wanted Valley Commons to be a place to gather, where friendships and family ties are strengthened, community is created, and where people enjoy a glass of wine and good food.
Château 2017 is the second vintage of a new trandition of Grand Vin. Aged 18 months in 50% new French oak. Unfined and unfiltered.
