After sauvignon blanc, New Zealand is best known for its pinot noir. Almost 14 000 acres are planted to pinot noir which was first commercial bottled in 1987. It grows in many regions but is largely concentrated in Marlborough, on the south island.
Our tasting room is open for both reservations and walk in tastings at a reduced capacity. Reservations are encouraged for groups of 5 or more and able to be made over the phone or through our email and social media channels.
The Makepeace family, owners of Hugging Tree Winery, have made the move to the north end of the Similkameen Valley after purchasing 2 properties in late 2019.
