Following another successful BC Wine Industry Insight Conference (March 12, 2019 at the Penticton Lakeside Resort, Penticton), the BC Wine Institute is pleased to announce the launch of the WineBC2030 long-term strategic plan.
Once again April will be celebrated as BC Wine Month. The BCWI is currently developing a multi-layered marketing campaign to engage industry and consumers throughout British Columbia to be actively involved.
Our wines are made for pairing and sharing, anytime, anywhere since 1989. For us, it runs in the family. We always look forward to seeing you in the Wine Shop, Old Vines Restaurant or at one of our events.
The evening will also offer guests a chance to meet and talk with the passionate people behind the wines of Okanagan Falls, including winemakers and winery principals, in the elegant surroundings of the Terminal City Club.
If you enjoy BC wines, then Tuesday, March 26 is a wine-coloured day on your calendar. That is the day that Provence Marinaside presents a four-course winemaker dinner featuring wines from the award-winning Road 13 Vineyards.
It is very special to have the opportunity to not only attend a delightful wine dinner but to also have John Skinner on hand to give us his personal perspective of each wine pairing, a history of the wine making process often accommpanied with a short story of how each varietal came to be a feature of the Painted Rock portfolio.
Our tastings are always done blind (bottles wrapped in brown paper bags). All we knew was that founding member Wayne Meadows, organized a flight of Cabernet Franc from BC, Washington and France and that the wines were from vintages 2009 – 2012.
