Noble Ridge Vineyard Winery lays in the Okanagan Valley at the northern most tip of the only desert in Canada. The winery is named for the noble varieties of grapes grown and the ridge that divides the land on which they thrive.
This time we’re explored “Uncork the Sun” wine country of Oliver and Osoyoos. Just a few of our #FavouriteThings wineries. September is an ideal month to visit anywhere in BC Wine Country. Fewer crowds and it’s when “the grown-ups come out to play”
With something like 35 wineries pouring fabulous Pinot Noirs the day couldn’t have possibly been any better. I tasted many, but not all, wines on offer and snacked on some delicious bites along the way. The setting was ideal and the slightly overcast day turned out to be perfect for strolling at our leisure tasting wines.
Something Old, Something New This session was so worth the price of admission and a must of Pinot Noir lovers. Four wineries were represented; Averill Creek with owner and General Manager Andy Johnston, Cedar Creek with winemaker Taylor Whelan, Meyer Family Vineyards with winemaker Chris Carson, and Tantalus with winemaker & GM David Paterson.
On our most recent visit we tagged along with Burrowing Owl’s Brand Ambassador Stephen Neumann. I was amazed at how much there was to learn about Burrowing Owl, from their beginnings to the family legacy it was a fascinating tour.
Don’t let September slip by without making a trek to the Similkameen my #FavouriteThings list of wineries you should be visiting in Keremeos and Cawston.
Wonderful things are happening at Quails’ Gate Winery in their 30th Year.
It has been a beautiful, sun filled Summer here in the Okanagan so why not celebrate these hot days with a cool glass of vino!? We’ve put together some of our most popular Summer wines into a package
On this afternoon the tasting was a prelude to our Tasting Menu dinner at the Liquidity Bistro. I highly recommend and suggest a lunch or dinner prior to or following your tasting to enhance your visit. Both the Vertical Tasting or the Reserve Tasting are a leisurely exercise that takes time to enjoy.
