Yes, it’s official Fall is here in Vancouver and with Fall comes some new menus and menu items at one of our favourite restaurants located in the Four Seasons Hotel Vancouver – YEW seafood + bar.
The team at Water Street did an incredible job presenting 6 courses starting with a selection of delicious canapés. The following courses were wonderfully seasonal, fresh and local orchestrated to a high level of culinary delight. As always the choice of dishes were complimented by the excellent choice of Noble Ridge wines.
A third and final instalment of the 2019 No. 1 Gaoler’s Mews dinners is planned for Friday November 8th and will see Iron Chef Canada’s Rob Feenie of Cactus Club Cafe behind the stove with L’Abattoir’s Chef Lee Cooper in a collaboration not to be missed. The pair will be cooking this intimate 8-seat dining affair in support of the BC Hospitality Foundation.
Ancora Waterfront Dining and Patio Executive Chef Ricardo Valverde will add a touch of Peruvian flair to the holidays this fall when he prepares special menus to mark both the Canadian and US Thanksgiving Holidays on Monday, October 14 and Thursday, November 22, respectively.
Pourhouse will offer a special buy-one-get-one-half-off feature on its signature Pourhouse burger and fries ($23), a mainstay on their menu. From Monday, September 23 until Monday, October 21, weekday dine-in lunch.
Yuwa Japanese Cuisine will take guests on a guided tour of the gardens that give Japanese brewery Amabuki its international renown when it welcomes the celebrated sakemaker for a special ‘Secret Garden’ Sake Dinner at the upper Kitsilano restaurant on Wednesday, September 18.
Each course will see an International wine poured alongside a BC wine, both of which will complement the dish. YOU will vote on which one does it best!
In fact I was so excited about the first course options I decided, even before we arrived, that it would be fun and a bit adventurous to start at the top and work all the way through the list, sharing the dishes, of course.
We have been fans of Liquidity Bistro for a few years and never pass up the opportunity to enjoy lunch, weekend brunch or dinner when we visit Okanagan Falls. The ideal spot to “do lunch” between wine tastings.
