Estate fruit grown in the Similkameen Valley and co-fermented on Viognier skins as is done in the Rhine Valley of France.  The wine was aged for 20 months in new and second use French and American oak barrels, each of which imparts different nuances to the wine.

The Similkameen is all about the individual site with differing climates and winds, often too much wind. Every vineyard differs from the next. At Clos du Soleil the vineyard has been organic for the past ten years with biodynamic practises contributing to soil health.

Tasting Ten January 2019 – a flight of Cabernet Franc

Our tastings are always done blind (bottles wrapped in brown paper bags).  All we knew was that founding member Wayne Meadows, organized a flight of Cabernet Franc from BC, Washington and France and that the wines were from vintages 2009 – 2012.
