Fall is in the air and the grape harvest is underway in BC wine country. In honour of the season, and BC’s wine producers, Provence Marinaside Wine Director Joshua Carlson unveiled today the first in what will be a series of special menus designed to highlight rare BC wines.
I could easily have spent much more time just browsing and enjoying the ambience of the Artisan Wine Shop. The team were both friendly and very knowledgeable and there is nothing better than an afternoon spent wine browsing, unless of course it’s wine tasting!

Late to start and cool to finish with moments of heat lending power and structure. Oh! And, nary a spark in sight. Rieslings remain happy in stück or clayver. Pinot noirs in barrel, ready for a long élevage. 2019 will be wines of ultimate elegance. But for now, we wait patiently.

A one night only event that featured internationally acclaimed winemakers, viticulturists and chefs from Iconic Wineries of British Columbia showcasing the science, craftsmanship and terroir that make Okanagan wines so extraordinary.
Just about a week left to enjoy September and I can’t think of anything more enjoyable than winery touring. Kelowna and West Kelowna have some wonderful wineries making excellent wines and there are a number of restaurants that are on my swoon worthy list.
