Sharing with you a couple of special offerings going into the holiday season. While the honest truth is there is not a lot in the ‘ol archive around here, we did manage to rustle up a couple classics for you.

Another of my #FavouriteThings wine touring regions is the Sub-GI Okanagan Falls. The overall size of the area is not large but it has so many excellent wineries, making exceptional wines, that are so worth a visit.
The 2018 Rieslings from Synchromesh are LIT for 2018. A return to a typical vintage and Alan’s famous“Bladerunner” acid range. Alan Dickinson stops his ferments naturally to purposefully leave a healthy dose of residual sugar. The evening will also offer guests a chance to meet and talk with the passionate people behind the wines of Okanagan Falls, including winemakers and winery principals, in the elegant surroundings of the Terminal City Club.
Our tastings are always done blind (bottles wrapped in brown paper bags). All we knew was that founding member Wayne Meadows, organized a flight of Cabernet Franc from BC, Washington and France and that the wines were from vintages 2009 – 2012.
