The Verhoeff family wanted Valley Commons to be a place to gather, where friendships and family ties are strengthened, community is created, and where people enjoy a glass of wine and good food.
Friday, April 17th is World Malbec Day. Most people tend to associate Malbec with Argentina and for good reason. Argentina produces 75% of the world’s Malbec wine. Most come from Mendoza and the best ones from the higher elevation areas of Uco Valley and Lujan de Cuyo.
All three wines are available now at selected private retailers, local farmer’s markets and at www.bcwinestudio.ca alongside the 2015 Siren’s Call Syrah which recently finished second in a blind tasting of the best BC Syrah’s at 2019 BC Iconic Reds Syrah Competition.
Dine Out Vancouver Festival – The Grand Tasting was an opportunity to taste bites from fourteen local restaurants that are participating in Dine Out Vancouver Festival which begins today and runs through February 4th. Alongside the culinary stations was a representation of BC wineries. This included 27 wineries, four breweries, cideries and distillers. So basically two stations of libations for every culinary station.
