BC is going Blue with BC Blueberries

As fresh blueberry season is upon us, the BC Blueberry Council invites British Columbians to join in the annual excitement around the harvest of this locally grown superfood. July 15th, 2020 has been proclaimed BC Blueberry Day in British Columbia, and this date kicks off a summer-time celebration that will take place across the province called Go Blue BC.

During this first phase of re-opening, dine-in dinner service will be offered 5 nights a week from 5pm on Tuesdays through Saturdays and reservations are recommended based on the limited capacities allowable.

The ticket auction for L’Abattoir’s first No. 1 Gaoler’s Mews dinner in 2020 is set to launch on Monday, February 24th at 9am and remains open until Saturday February 29th at 6pm sharp.

10 Vancouver Restaurants Among OpenTable’s Most Romantic Restaurants in Canada

The 100 Most Romantic list features restaurants from 31 cities across 7 provinces. Ontario tops the list with 46 establishments, followed by Alberta with 21, British Columbia with 15 and Quebec with 13. Rounding out the list are restaurants from Nova Scotia (2), Manitoba (2) and Saskatchewan (1).

L’Abattoir announces No. 1 Gaoler’s Mews line-up for 2020

Chef and owner of L’Abattoir, Lee Cooper and his team made the decision to shift the focus of the No. 1 Gaoler’s Mews dinners towards a higher purpose at the beginning of 2019 and haven’t looked back since.  “We had been searching for a way of making a larger impact for an organization that we believed in, so rather than making many small donations to many different causes throughout the year, we took our passion project, No. 1 Gaoler’s Mews and turned it into a fundraising program for a charity that we support wholeheartedly”, says Cooper of the shift.
