No journey through the Similkameen is complete without a stop at Vanessa. The Tasting Room is one of my favourites, so calming and zen it is the ideal setting for tasting the outstanding wines of Master Winemaker Howard Soon.
While the processes may have changed, the people, the wine and the beautiful landscapes that envelop BC wine country have not.
We are excited to begin hosting our guests on our beautiful patio overlooking Lake Okanagan beginning July 1st. Starting July 8th, guests are welcome to enjoy a wine flight (three 3oz pours) from our rotating list of flights.
With glass in hand we entered the Culinary Theatre where the Culinary Workshops take place now through December. There are several options for the Dynamics of Food & Wine series where the professional Culinary team prepare dishes that guests will later enjoy paired with Mission Hill wines.
You’ll meet Tania in the Valley and be whisked in luxury wheels to three wineries which have embraced art, both inside their bottles and in beautiful spaces which they offer as destinations for wine travellers.
Prepare for a culinary and wine pairing experience like no other as Chef Murray, of The Bear, The Fish, The Root & The Berry at Spirit Ridge Resort, and Howard Soon lead you on an adventure across the country.
I love the Guest House at Burrowing Owl and every time we stay there I wonder why I waited so long to come back. Probably one of the most relaxing stay away it’s possible to have. The suites are spacious and well appointed.
This time we’re explored “Uncork the Sun” wine country of Oliver and Osoyoos. Just a few of our #FavouriteThings wineries. September is an ideal month to visit anywhere in BC Wine Country. Fewer crowds and it’s when “the grown-ups come out to play”
Don’t let September slip by without making a trek to the Similkameen my #FavouriteThings list of wineries you should be visiting in Keremeos and Cawston.
